LedgerBox

Have a custom workflow? No problem.

If your document, your export, or your workflow is not listed, let us know. We take custom requests for any document workflow needed in your business.

Send a sample document

  1. 01

    Discovery

Send 1 sample document and the field names you need. A redacted sample is enough. LedgerBox reads it and states what it can extract, or says the document does not qualify.

  2. 02

    Pilot

LedgerBox configures the extractor and runs it on your sample. You read the rows and the checks before you approve the build.

  3. 03

    Production

The extractor goes live on your account. Every document you send after that runs through it, with the same exports and workflow rules as a built-in type.

What gets configured

Your extractor is a configuration of the production engine. It gets every improvement the built-in types get.

The document type
Any document printed or scanned with repeatable structure. Delivery dockets, remittances, rent rolls, timesheets, and industry forms qualify. PDF and photo input.
Your field names
Field names, types, and column order come from you. The export matches the system you load it into.
The checks
Totals and cross-field rules are configured for your document, the same way LedgerBox checks the built-in types.
The delivery
CSV, XLSX, and JSON exports, a signed webhook post for each document, or QuickBooks entries.
The workflow rules
Routing, approval, and delivery run as rules you switch on once. LedgerBox configures them with you during the pilot.
The API
The REST API and the TypeScript SDK read your custom type the same way they read a bank statement.

Read the 11 built-in document types before you send a sample.

Questions

What does a custom build cost?
LedgerBox quotes the engagement after an initial consultation. We work with you to determine the scope and timeline for your custom build.
How long does it take?
LedgerBox states a date after it reads your sample. The pilot and the live extractor are the same configuration, so production does not add a second build.
Can the document layout change later?
Yes. New field names and new variants of the same document type are configuration edits.
Does a person at LedgerBox read my sample?
Yes. A custom build requires a person to read the sample and write the configuration. Send a redacted sample if the document holds data you cannot share.
