The short answer: there is no Xero connection, and we are not going to imply one. Exports open in Xero. What that means in practice is a CSV or an Excel workbook you import yourself, with the columns mapped in Xero's own import screen.

Export a CSV or an Excel workbook from LedgerBox and map the columns yourself in Xero's own import screen. The LedgerBox column layouts are published, so the mapping is a known quantity rather than a guess. A purpose-built Xero file is planned and is not here yet.

Upload the PDF, let the balances reconcile, and review anything that came back flagged. This part is the same whatever you plan to do with the rows afterwards.

Both carry the same five columns: date, description, debit, credit, balance. The layouts are published, so you know what you are mapping before you start.
Import it in Xero and map the columns

Xero's own import screen is where the mapping happens, and it is a one-time setup per bank account rather than a per-statement chore.

Worth knowing before you import

What we do not ship is as worth stating as what we do, because finding out later is the expensive way to learn it.

There is no connection to set up

LedgerBox does not sign in to Xero, does not post to it, and does not sync with it. Nothing runs in the background. You download a file and import it, which also means nothing reaches your books that you did not put there.

The mapping happens on their side

Which columns Xero accepts is Xero's to define, and it changes between products and editions. We publish our own layouts precisely and do not publish a mapping into theirs that we have not tested, because a confident wrong table would cost you an afternoon.

Why it is not here yet

A file format ships once we can verify it end to end: generate it, import it into Xero, and see the transactions land correctly. Until that is done, the honest option is the one above, and this page says so rather than listing a format we have not proved.

Does LedgerBox integrate with Xero?

No. There is one posting integration and it is QuickBooks Online. Nothing in LedgerBox signs in to Xero, posts to Xero, or syncs with Xero, and no part of the product is waiting on a Xero connection you have not noticed.

So how do I get a statement into Xero today?

Convert it in LedgerBox, download the CSV or the Excel workbook, and import that in Xero, mapping our columns to Xero's in its own import screen. The LedgerBox column layouts are published so the mapping is a known quantity.

Is a Xero export planned?

Yes, a purpose-built Xero file is planned. It is not here, and it ships only once we can generate it, import it, and confirm the transactions land correctly. Until then this page describes the spreadsheet route, because that is the one that works.
