Getting statement data into MYOB
No MYOB file, no MYOB connection, and no plan to imply either. What LedgerBox gives you is a statement turned into clean rows with a column layout published in full, which is the part MYOB's importer cannot do for you.
What you can do today
No MYOB file
Export a CSV or an Excel workbook from LedgerBox and map the columns yourself in MYOB's own import screen. The LedgerBox column layouts are published, so the mapping is a known quantity rather than a guess. A purpose-built MYOB file is planned and is not here yet.
The layouts you would be mapping
LedgerBox ships no MYOB file and no MYOB connection today. This page describes what there is instead.
Getting data into MYOB today
-
Convert the statement in LedgerBox
Upload the PDF, let the balances reconcile, and review anything flagged before you export.
-
Download a CSV or an Excel workbook
Date, description, debit, credit, balance, one row per transaction, in a layout we publish rather than describe vaguely.
-
Import it in MYOB and map the columns
The mapping happens in MYOB's own import screen and is set up once per bank account.
Worth knowing before you import
What we do not ship is as worth stating as what we do, because finding out later is the expensive way to learn it.
The mapping happens on their side
Which columns MYOB accepts is MYOB's to define, and it changes between products and editions. We publish our own layouts precisely and do not publish a mapping into theirs that we have not tested, because a confident wrong table would cost you an afternoon.
There is no connection to set up
LedgerBox does not sign in to MYOB, does not post to it, and does not sync with it. Nothing runs in the background. You download a file and import it, which also means nothing reaches your books that you did not put there.
Why it is not here yet
A file format ships once we can verify it end to end: generate it, import it into MYOB, and see the transactions land correctly. Until that is done, the honest option is the one above, and this page says so rather than listing a format we have not proved.
MYOB FAQ
Does LedgerBox integrate with MYOB?
No. QuickBooks Online is the only posting integration LedgerBox has. There is no MYOB connection and no MYOB export file, and getting rows in today means exporting a spreadsheet and importing it there.
Which columns should I map in MYOB?
Ours are fixed and published: date, description, debit, credit, balance. Which of them MYOB wants is MYOB's to define, and we would rather point you at its importer than print a mapping we have not verified.
Is an MYOB export planned?
Yes, and it is not here yet. It ships once the file can be generated, imported into MYOB, and checked, which is the bar every format on the planned list has to clear.
Clean rows first, then import them anywhere.
Upload a document and download the export in under a minute. No card required.
